Happy Mother's Day! COVID-19 has certainly impacted everyone. Who would have thought we would be spending Mother's Day social distancing from our moms. Yes, I do realize that this doesn't apply to everyone, but it does to some. This Mother's Day, we are struggling with ways to honor our moms while still maintaining social distance so that we don't jeopardize their health, our health, and that of our families. Some things that we can do is use technology so that we can visually see our moms (Facetime, SKYPE, Zoom, etc.) or we can send them an e-mail that reminds them of some of our best childhood memories. We are creative, I'm sure we can all think of something! Stay healthy and safe everyone as the government prepares to allow the state to begin reopening on May 20th.
As I was shopping for an elderly relative this weekend, I happened to find a really good sale on little potted flowers. So I bought her one to cheer her up and then went back and bought the rest of them! I have now been delivering these adorable little plants to friends, family and neighbors who need a little cheer. I lucked out and was able to get these at a reasonable price but I was thinking now would be a great time to plant some flower seeds in little cups or pots or cardboard Egg cartons (reuse/reduce/recycle) and then share them with people (leave them on porches at a safe distance). It would be a relatively inexpensive way to spread cheer :)
