Hello all! Hope you are doing well! Today's poem is called "The Promise," by Jane Hirshfield. You can read it here. Our team thought this poem was unique in its message and very well written. This poem starts off with the main character repeatedly asking different inanimate objects to stay. Nobody that the main character asks stays with them. Then, the character asks their 'loves' to stay, and they say, "Always." This poem is interesting because it tells us that while some things in our lives may change, or bow their heads and leave, some will stay. And those are the ones that we can count on. We can truly love the people that stay with us through the thick, and the thin. So today, go to a loved one. Tell them that you love them. Tell them that you are grateful for their help in this whirlwind of a year, and thank them. There will not be a daily challenge today, so use what we just mentioned as motivations. Thank you, and goodnight.
