On Paper (Brighter Days Blog #40)

Hello all! Hope you are all doing well. Today's poem is called "on paper," by Jacqueline Woodson. You can read it here. In this poem, the narrator writes her own name for the first time, and recognizes the ability that she has to write anything she wants, to span infinite places with her writing. That anything she ever wants or will ever want will be on that page. That the words that she writes can become something, take form and do something. And that's what we wanted to discuss with you today. You, you have the ability to do something innately unique. You can touch a person's life, you can do that with your own skills. And you can do so many things with what you are given, you just have to take the first step. So today, we encourage you to do that in the way you think will be best for you. Thank you, and goodnight.
